Happy Holidays everyone!  Ivan prepared a YouTube show on Dark, Twisted Holiday shorts just this month you should check out, however, at this point, I’m a wee bit tired of shorts that explicitly reference the season. There has to be more than that to make a classic. Die Hard is certainly fun to watch this time of year, but its Christmas setting doesn’t make it as appropriate for the season as It’s a Wonderful Life. What I’m saying is there are Holiday shorts like The Bloody Olive, or Treevenge which are certifiable classics, but don’t represent what this time of year means…at least not to me. I want the mushy stuff: hope, uplift, friendship, family—the things that celebrate that which is good in us, and in this world.  So here’s a a playlist that speaks to that, 12 films for the 12 days of Christmas. Here’s to a new Holiday canon =).
