Short of the Week
One look at the upcoming cinema releases and you’ll be left with no doubt that Summer Blockbuster season is well and truly underway. Up against 100+ million-dollar budgets, A-list stars, and top directors, you’d be forgiven for assuming that the humble short film could never compete with these action-packed spectacles. But, as usual on S/W, we’re looking to prove that shorts can do anything features can.
In that spirit, we’ve put together a tight, feature-length playlist of shorts that channel the summer escapist spirit — featuring big action and often, big concepts.
