6 new animated shorts have come online to the Gobelins YouTube channel, representing the graduation work of its 3rd year students at the Paris campus. The name “Gobelins” may be familiar to you as the school has produced bumpers for the world-famous Annecy Animation Fest the last couple of years. These films: Who’s Afraid of Mr. Greedy, Vésuves, Fur, Eleanor, Les Chiens Isoleé, and Á Travers la Brume range from 2min30 to 6min30 in length, and traverse a reasonable breadth of styles.

These animations are a bit slighter than the films its French rival Supinfocom creates, however they spend less time on them as well, each of these being produced in a 5 month window. If you are an animation fan I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of them. My favorites are Fur and Who’s Afraid of Mr. Greedy.
