The trilogy, entitled Still Life all tackle key issues in American cultural conversation – incarceration, race, life, death, digital culture and gender.

Looking to depict modern America from three varied perspectives, It’s All Right, It’s OK (above), Hydrangea and The Mountains of Mourne all showcase Cummings’ trademark one-take approach, playing out in real time with no editing to hide behind. Fans of the director’s work are bound to appreciate not only his filmmaking approach but also his focus on timely, impactful subjects.
