We don’t interrupt your normal web habits with news very often, but when something big happens, it is our duty to share. The National Film Board of Canada, has digitized its collection and taken it online in celebration of its upcoming 70th anniversary. Over 700 films, docs, shorts and trailers are now free on the web. We have featured many, many NFB films here on SoTW, most recently the Oscar-winning Ryan. The NFB consistently has helped fund and sponsor some of the best in artistic animation, so fans should be excited.

For now certain high profile films like recent Oscar nominees, The Danish Poet and Madame Tutli Putli seem to be absent, but we’ll be checking back frequently for sure.
