The winners have been announced, and if you didn’t catch the 2 hour broadcast yesterday, here are the short film winners. There weren’t many surprises. Our Oscar Poll showed the winners of animation (59%) and documentary (81%) as your clear favorites with the winning live-action short  in a close race (24%). What do you think—did the Academy get it right? Take note filmmakers, the winning animated short—the lovable, Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore—premiered online over a month ago. So releasing your film online after it’s qualified doesn’t seem to put a dent in your chances. Times have changed.
