We’re in the midst of a creative revolution. In the 10 years since we started Short of the Week, we’ve witnessed the accelerating pace of technology reshape every aspect of filmmaking from how filmmakers learn the craft, how they source funding for their projects, the tools they use to make films, and the options they have for distribution.

In this ongoing series, we’ll be talking with the filmmakers who are already living this new reality and charting new careers—filmmakers who took risks by releasing their short films online and are now developing a series for Amazon, a feature for Netflix, or a $100 million dollar studio blockbuster. We call them the New Filmmakers.
