    Yeesh, I'm sure some of you are getting dispirited with the sheer number of short films to watch lately, but there is no let up. It's the summer festival season, so here are 10 more for the queue, thanks to the National Film Board Canada and the Cannes Film Fest.

    Tomorrow marks the beginning of this year's Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF), North America's most prestigious outlet for artistic animation. In light of the "close, intimate relationship" the festival has had with the National Film Board of Canada, this playlist of 9 films from the NFB archive was collected for the occasion.

    6th NFB Online Short Film Competition at Cannes

    Continuing what has become a beloved tradition, today kicked off the National Film Board of Canada's Online Short Film Contest. We let you know about it last year too, but if you're unfamiliar here's the deal: the NFB picks 10 short films, tosses them up on YouTube for a limited time and then declares a winner based upon how many "likes" the videos received.
